I’ve Got My Broom

fallfaerie

“a time of balance”

I’m at the supermarket with my darling sweet-pea faerie when I bumped into a goddess sistar friend and she notices I have a cinnamon broom in my shopping cart …she knows me well so it wasn’t a big surprise, but she made a comment about it anyway. She said: “you have your broom ready?” to which I replied: “yes, I get them every year”. She laughed and asked: “but what do you do with them?” and I said:” I usually have two, one at the front door and one parked in the back. I never know which door I’ll take to head out for a quick fly by 🙂 Then I take the old brooms and burn them in the bonfire the night of the equinox” this has been a personal tradition for years.

What does this time of the year bring, why is it such a big deal??

Well, for so many reasons. As we stand at the gateway of every seasonal change we are flooded by its delightful gifts and blessings. We’re at the time of the Autumnal Equinox ..one of my favorite seasonal transitions. I love so many things about this time of the year, but specially how Mother Earth begins to gradually change her gown and her colors flow from the bright colorful greens and reds of a hot summer to browns, oranges and yellows of fall. I also enjoy observing how we flow through the transitional phase of the season. Our attitudes shift in every way, we are getting ready for cooler temperatures, longer nights, the food we eat changes, the clothes we wear, its such a deep convergence. And because it is so there is a day of complete equality. The Equinox is a time of balance. No one gets more than another, its all equal. We’re all receivers. And the beauty about receiving is that the jubilee we feel as we receive lets go of aaaall resistance and that bliss we send off is what source is reading and, therefore, sending more in. keeping the balance, the ebb and flow. Just like that, Source and Creation exchange, interchange, share, there is relationship that can flow so smoothly when we let it. It’s the way it works, ask and you will receive.
Its great knowledge to have when we truly understand this. Its very important because we are directly affected by every seasonal change, and when we’re not having positive experience with it, during it, then that’s telling us we’re holding resistance against something, it needs our attention and must be addressed so we can move on. When we resist we stop receiving. Our emotions are how we read the flow of our life experience. It’s a lovely process 🙂
So take a short moment and check in with yourself, see what your emotions are telling you. Honor that side of you that connects you to the vibration of source. Match your creative intention to that vibration and create your life as you dream it. This time of year is a perfect time to start anew. Join in the seasonal festivities, surround yourself and your every thought with positive energy. Celebrate your life by honoring your self and your ability to create. Flow. Life is fun! InJoy

Andean Healing – Earth Star Raku Activation

Back In Mendoza

20150530_152524

Vacations are great, that’s for sure, but going back home after 2 decades is amazing. A rush of emotions as each memory passes thru faster than lighting. A super intense feeling. The adrenaline rushing thru my body while in transit, the anticipation of seeing the faces of the people from my childhood; neighbors, old friends, relatives ..new and old.

Coming back home after 21 yrs was indeed the best thing I could’ve done. Bringing Ollie Butterfly was a super bonus, the gift of a lifetime to myself, my sweet little darling and my family. Such a healing experience.

There is so much energy moving thru my being, healing old wounds, creating new memories, and revisiting good old ones, and not just for myself but for my family. To watch my little darling play with my dad, and run around the house, climbing the fence I use to climb, walking the streets I use to play on as a child…it fills my heart and soul with the purest love, purest joy … it’s a wonderful life!

We have arrived, we are in Mendoza, as I walk down the airplane stairs and walk Mendoza ground I take a second to look around and acknowledge the gorgeous country land of my birth place. I love this land with all my heart. There is so much of me here, no matter how long it has been.

20150527_122440  20150516_174725 20150524_154139

I eagerly walk inside the tiny international airport, grab my luggage and head over towards the exit where I should see  familiar faces …. And yes, there they are, my family, my loved ones, my lineage. Those connected to us holding space here. My hometown rests at the foot of the majestic Andean Mountains, it is a dream land …. humble but spunky, and with such great potential. ….ahhhh whatta beautiful place!! The adventure begins……

My heart pounding, my mind creating so many possibilities of the many amazing memories that are about to be created, my entire being anticipating the heart rushing experience this is about to be.

Im here only 2 weeks and with so much to discover, to crunch into this short amount of time ..so priorities are important to keep. Where does my heart take me first?

The neighborhood hasn’t changed even though there are things that are new but many things that are not, it continues to be something I notice with each passing day. At first I could not recognize a street. We parked in front of my childhood home and I hadnt even noticed; but as the days go by I realize how much things have stayed the same.

 20150520_102149  20150520_101424       20150529_165734    20150529_170414

Reconnecting with friends, meeting their children, their new families, it was such a sweet treat. Spending time at home with dad and my gramms …just as it was before, when I young. I love the simple things that never change, like waiting for the produce guy who parks outside the house and honks the horn so the housewives come out with their baskets to get the fresh veggies of the day. Or expecting the neighbors in the morning to stop by the house for “mate” as they’re on their way to the bakery. To look outside the front door and see the majesty of the Andes and its beautiful peaks dancing with the clouds, inviting to be discovered, explored.

I had the sweet opportunity to visit the mountain and gather with some truly incredible beings. What a journey!

We headed out around 5am, hopped on a cab and were on our way to the bus terminal, where we started a truly unique experience, we were on our way to visit two holy places of the beautiful dry lands in the Valley of Cuyo.  I’ve done this trip before many times as a child, but I didn’t know the impact this was going to have on me and my life this time.

Mendoza is a place full of treasures of many kinds. The ancients of the land, the High Spirits of the Andes live deep in every corner and whisper in guidance of where to go and what to see. These are shamans like never seen before who for eons have learned the earth medicine and celestial stellar connection of the intra-terrestrial beings. Sharing bread, wine and the fruits of the land while gathered around the fire high up in the mountains, looking into the city lights, hearing the chief’s words, reaching deep into the core of the self, pulling out old stuck baggage and enjoying the feeling of lightness as we dance to the ancient sounds of the nature spirits, the flute the guitar and the thumping of the gaucho’s taco as he dances the malambo, the heartbeat of the community of the land. The mind has no choice but to let go and become one with the land, to expand into this sweet divine awareness of life!

God is real. The breath of life is real. We are here as proof of it. Every experience is so pure and for Universe to feel its own capacity and strength of Love for its own creation, for self, for its own strength. LoveSelf for SelfLove. We have this ability in us and when we are able to “see it so” it can change one’s view about everything. Communing with the stars as they twinkle high up in the night sky and to witness their journey spiraling down to meet us eye to eye, face to face, to dance with us around the fire…. this is a rush like no other. “The Raku lives in me!” I remember thinking, …feeling.

Every trip I make to Mendoza is extraordinary but this time it was literally out of this world. I traveled to visit my people and found so much more than my imagination had prepared for. The initiation between Heaven and Earth, GaiaMa and StarMa was a most magical moment in my life. The awakening of Raku, the unfolding of this energy, the uncoiling of such kundalini force moving through my Being was a moment that will stay with me for always. To witness the circle of Ascended Masters, the ArchAngelic Lights, the Federation of Light, the White Brotherhood… all beautiful radiant Energies sharing common space within notime/nowhere/here/now to deliver such a powerful message of Earth healing was absolutely divine.

….I walk down the mountain with my baby girl in my arms feeling replenished and renewed. Like im still me but a whole new me. I took a breath and felt as if it was my very first time breathing. My eyes could see the brightness in all, the true radiance of the Earth. Every cell in my body danced the symphony of Joy.

So here I am, coming back to America with a chest full of treasures and an arsenal full of LoveIntention ready to share with you, my family, my world.

From the Mendoza Valley of Argentina I present to you the Andean Reiki Activation to help you transform and transmute your own power to ignite your creative essence.

DIY Baby Cold Home Remedy

For your congested little one.

Because there is nothing more heart-wrenching than watching your baby struggle with a cold or flu.

20141015_093655

Feeling sick is uncomfortable, the body aches and feels like it drags, the nose runs nonstop, sneezing on everything and everyone …its a mess! Imagine how our precious little angels feel when sickie, and, for the younger ones who cant speak yet it must be aweful! and the last thing you want to do is slather him or her in toxic chemicals! While they are building their imune system by “processing” this cold there are  very cool things we can do to help them feel a bit more rested. I’ve tried these few things with my little sunlight and it seems to help her a lot.

With the changing season and the weather shifting my little darling got her first cold last week. I know when in need is good to have it, but I am not a big fan of western medications, and for infants its not even recommended to medicate. …So I used every baby cold home remedy I could think of to try to make her comfortable while she kicked the nasty germs.

I combined all of these things during the day and specially at bedtime, and we slept through the night on her sickest evenings! 😉
These are great for everyone in the house dealing with a cold

1) Humidifier/Difuser – These little machines are awesome. Fill’em up with water, and it makes your baby’s room as humid as a tropical rain forest. This helps keep their little noses and mouths from feeling dry from all of that congestion. And you can add a few drops of either Eucalyptus, Camphor or Peppermint Oil to the water and it will also keep the air clean from germs.
*note: if you dont have a difuser and/or humidifier then right before bedtime boil some water in a saucepan and add a few drops of oil and let the steam do its magic. If possible let it stand in the bedroom so the steam cleanses and moistens the air in the room.

2) HM Vapor Rub – Yes, you can purchase vapor rub for infants at the store, but if you look at the contents you will find it has petroleum jelly and “fragrance”, among other hard to pronounce ingredients. …if you cant pronounce it you dont want it in or on your self. …so thanks but no thanks! Specially when its so easy to make your own vapor rub at home. You’ll find this simple recipe below 😉

3) Herbal Tea (chamomile worked well) with a touch of honey, fresh sqzd lemon juice, a small slice of fresh ginger and fresh mint leaves from the garden. I placed it in her bottle and she sipped it, enjoyed it and helped soothe her irritated little throat

Easy to DIY Remedy: Baby Cold HomeMade Vapor Rub

Not only is it easy to make your own vapor rub, but very cost effective. The essential oil is an investment up front, but it only takes 5-7 drops to make a batch of vapor rub. Darrol was sick for 4 days, and I barely put a dent in the batch that I made for him. You can also use this mixture for grown up colds!

Ingredients and Supplies

~ 2 tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil
~ 5-7 drops eucalyptus oil
~ small, clean glass container – I used an empty baby food jar

Directions

1. Combine the oils in your container, screw on the lid, and give it a good shake.

2. Dip your finger into the vapor rub and massage onto your baby’s chest and back when he needs a little relief.

Helpful facts:
Never put straight essential oil on your baby’s skin. Always best if diluted in water or a carrier oil.(coconut oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil)

There are other essential oils that work well for congestion: peppermint, lavender, and rosemary are some to try.
Lavender is also a good oil to use if the baby has a fever.

Chamomile Tea is safe for babies

Experience Kundalini

“There’s nothing which can be more precious in you than your own relationship with your own consciousness.” Yogi Bhajan

As I sit in easy pose with my eyes closed, having just finished the meditation before closing the class, I can feel the silence in the room, waiting for the yoga teacher to que us on for the Long Time Sun, I can feel the yumminess of the work I’ve done all over my body and mind, and my soul is skipping in sweet Joy, WaheGuru!. My Kundalini Experience. How the “laws” of destiny work I cant be sure but one thing i do know is that if you are meant to have something in your life it will make its way in one way or another. This is the case of Kundalini Yoga in my life. In the course of one month all these events and people and music were linking me to an incredible new life, and I had no idea what greatness was coming. A White Tantric Yoga flier with Yogi Bhajan’s photo on it, and not having a clue who he was then except for a bearded man wearing a turban; the elevating music of Snatam Kaur’s angelic voice blew me away, i remember the morning I opened the store and began sweeping the floor while I listened to the songs of “Grace” and remember realizing I was crying and thinking, “why am I crying??, I dont even understand what she’s saying?!” What is this music??” The words Sadhana, and videos of bearded men in turbans were being flooded into my reality … wow! Then, by the works of Magick, as the Universe does it, I was invited to a Saturday morning Sadhana … Oh My Gurus!! I was home. I had found my Self in myself. WOW … a feeling I will never forget because it will never leave my awareness. The connection to who I Am and where I Am and Life … everything was clear, Light had blessed every aspect of my mind and body and now my soul was BIG, HUGE, I felt… I felt…….. I felt.

As I see it, Kundalini Yoga is the gift that keeps on giving. It goes into the web of life readjusting the patterns and puzzle pieces to ultimately help you feel happy healthy and whole. There are so many roads to discovering inner Happiness, roads that lead back to the I Am, and I’ve explored some of those roads, but Kundalini and Yogi Ji’s teachings delivered me to my Light. I Am the Light of my Soul, Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful.

Benefits of Yoga for Babies, Mommies and Daddies

20140620_094605

The Benefits of Yoga for the entire family

The first 5 years of a soul’s re-entry to a human body is to re adapt itself to life in this vibration and to learn the “new ways” of the human race, the advances in humankind. These 5 years serve as foundation in building a future. According to clinical studies, in the area of child development the first 11 years are where a child learns and becomes the future adult.
Adopting a regular practice of yoga with the children is incredibly helpful in the progress of their growth and in the bond between them and the rest of the family.
As a yoga teacher and a mom I experience the sweet reward of practicing yoga with my baby and noticing how much it gives to her and to us as a unit. Its remarkable the impact it has in the life of human beings. Olivia was about 6 months when I started teaching a Mommy & Me Yoga class and by now the class has developed into a Bring Your Baby Yoga class where mommies who cannot or choose not to leave their young children in the care of another to take a class get to bring them to practice. The babies learn by example. Its beautiful to see how the babies learn by example. So every Wednesday in the yoga shala we have babies of all ages so the class is catered to mommas with infants and toddlers. There is a community potluck running from 12:30 to about 2:30 where we all sit and catch up while the little ones continue to play. Its a beautiful way to spend the day!

How is yoga beneficial for our children?

Babies are natural yogis!

They develop through yoga poses, which aid in their gross and fine motor skills.

Yoga helps them to improve sleeping patterns both in duration and frequency, as well as encourages sleeping through the night.

Yoga poses and stretches for infants aid in digestion, constipation, and relieve gas and colic.

Yoga promotes bonding between parents and babies. Playful yoga songs and activities, as well as seeing other babies practice, help make the whole experience fun! Including tummy time, which is super great for mommies and fun for babies 😉

Soothing techniques like pranayama (breathwork), humming and massage, teach parents to help babies to calm themselves.

Increases body awareness, both for baby and parent. Yoga is a great way for Moms to strengthen their bodies, calm their minds, feel relaxed, and get back in shape.

Yoga reduces stress for both parents and babies because it stimulates the nervous system and promotes the natural healing process.

Baby Yoga creates balance between strength and flexibility in developing bodies, so they grow strong and maintain the flexibility they are born with.

Initiates social interaction in a non-competitive environment for both babies and new parents, it’s a great way to meet other new Moms and Dads becoming part of another branch within the community.

Healthy habits learned early in life become healthy habits for the rest of baby’s life.

Babies love yoga!

Yoga is excellent for movers and shakers too.

Benefits for Babies/Toddlers

It deepens the bond between parent & child by offering something fun and exciting to share

Helps baby sleep longer and better, both during nap time and through the night.

Improves baby’s digestion and ease tummy troubles relieving fussiness and colic

Helps discover ways to enhance your baby’s motor development through conscious body movement and breath

Strengthens the immune system

Encourages neuromuscular development

Improves body-awareness

Being playful helps baby relief stress and frustration

Increases your child’s attention span and balances child’s energy levels

Provides an outlet for social interaction

Nurtures self-esteem and creativity. Yoga stimulates the brain and endocrine system (the glands) which promotes healthy learning abilities

Builds a fit, healthy lifestyle providing the child the opportunity to create standards and learn to make choices instead of settling for less

What are the benefits for the parent/caregiver?

Helps us discover our child’s personality and learning style

Learn ways to calm the child

Build your confidence as a parent

Reduce your stress and anxiety by removing fear and doubt and becoming more focused

Create memorable moments with your child while engaging in a structured physical activity together

It will help you get more sleep!

For this and so much more is creating a yoga practice with the family essentially beautiful.

Happy Yoga!!

The Art of Divination

There are many different methods used in the art of Divination.

Divination is the practice of ascertaining information from super-natural or non-physical sources by use of an object or objects, or to see an event or events which are not perceptible to the untrained eye. If a distinction is to be made with fortune-telling, divination has a formal or ritual and often social character, usually in a religious context; while fortune-telling is a more everyday practice for personal purposes.
Divination takes many forms and while some of the Craft will use several different techniques, everyone will end up with one favorite or more successful way of obtaining answers to their questions. Just about anything can be used as a divination tool and over the centuries just about everything has, some examples are Taromancy (Tarot Cards), Runecasting, Feng Shui, Palmistry, Candle Gazing and the long list goes on and on.
Witches and Pagans have always been credited with having special powers, with being able to see the unseen. This is merely a result of the awareness of our ability to work with our “Spirit Guides” and all other “energy friends” -to many known as “Divine Guidance”, as well as to look within, to obtain answers to the questions we seek.

Common methods of Divination include:

– Astrology (by celestial bodies)
– Ailuromancy (by the behaviour of felines; also called Felidomancy)
– Axinomancy (is one of several obscure methods of divination using an axe or hatchet **not practiced by true Wiccans -lovers and protectors of Nature)
– Bibliomancy (by book, frequently but not always a religious text)
– Bone divination (by examining and reading bones)
– Cartomancy (by cards, e.g., playing cards, tarot cards, oracle cards and non-tarot cards)
– Taromancy (by specially designed cards: Tarot)
– Cheiromancy (by the palms of the hands; also called Palmistry)
– Crystallomancy / Scrying / Dowsing (by crystals or other reflecting objects. Pendulum also called Radiesthesia)
– Extispicy (from the extra of sacrificed animals **not practiced by true Wiccans -lovers and protectors of Nature)
– Geomancy (by earth), includes Feng Shui divination modality
– Graphology (by handwriting)
– I Ching (ancient Chinese divination method) However, as performed by some diviners with heavy reliance on an accompanying I Ching manual, this is, in effect, also a form of Bibliomancy/Stichomancy
– Necromancy (communicating with the dead)
– Numerology (by numbers)
– Oneiromancy (by dreams)
– Onomancy (by names)
– Ouija (board divination)
– Padomancy (by the soles of one’s feet)
– Palmistry (by palm inspection)
– Phrenology (by the shape of one’s head)
– Pyromancy or Pyroscopy (by fire)
– Radiesthesia (by pendulum)
– Runecasting (by Runes)
– Scatomancy (by droppings, usually animal)
– Tasseography (by reading tea leaves)
– Theomancy (by oracles, channeling)

And the list goes on …

_____________________________________________

Cartomancy is a form of fortune-telling or divination using a deck of cards. The practice of cartomancy has been observed since playing cards first came into use, around the 14th century, in Europe. Practitioners of cartomancy are generally known as cartomancers, card readers or, simply, readers. Some believe that the true origin of cartomancy dates back to ancient Egyptian times, the art being derived from wisdom given to the ancient Egyptians by the scribe-god Thoth.

Chiromancy or cheiromancy, is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also known as palmistry, palm-reading, or hand analysis. The practice is found all over the world, with numerous cultural variations.
Modern palmistry can trace its roots back to gypsy fortune tellers and Indian mystics, but often modern palmists combine traditional predictive techniques with psychology, holistic healing, and alternative methods of divination.

Cheiromancy: (Greek cheir, “hand”; manteia, “divination”)

Hands have been of recorded interest to humanity as far back as 12,000-15,000 years ago. They have been studied by our ancestors as a means to unveil and understand the self and relationships with others. They believed the unique patterns of lines and signs in the hand come into being as a direct result of the way we live. Just as a pebble thrown into the water creates ripples, so our thoughts create similar effects on our palms.
Today Palmistry is accepted throughout the world. Professional palmists can be found reading palms in every country in the world. Major magazine and books have articles on Palmistry.

Dowsing is one of the oldest and easiest divining methods. Two applications of dowsing are popular; the first is general dowsing for water (also called water witching), or standing water, metal objects, base metals, crystals, gem stones, hidden objects, minerals, lost items, or people. The second is precise measurement of exact numbers.
When dowsing is done using a pendulum, it is called radiesthesia.

Scrying is the occult practice of using a medium, most commonly, a reflective surface or translucent body, to aid perceived psychic abilities such as clairvoyance. A crystal ball set on a matte black surface is the traditional “autoscope”. The media often used to “see” are water, polished precious stones, crystal balls, or mirrors. Scrying, in this context, uses a “visual” process. There are some who believe the art of scrying is not limited to the use of “reflective” or “translucent” bodies only, but includes other media. Scrying has been used since ancient times and in many cultures, as a means of seeing the past, present, or future.
“Scrying” comes from the Old English word descry meaning “to make out dimly” or “to reveal.”

Tasseography (or Tasseomancy) is a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets symbols and patterns created by loose tea leaves or coffee grounds in a cup. The term also refers to the reading of coffee grounds, especially in the Middle Eastern tradition. The Chinese have been reading tea leaves for thousands of years. The term has also been applied to the reading of wine sediments. The term derives from the French word tasse (cup), which in turn derives from the Arabic tassa (cup).

Theomancy is a form of divination by the use of oracles or channeling. An oracle could be a person or agency considered to be a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion; an infallible authority, usually spiritual in nature. It may also be a revealed prediction or precognition of the future, from deities, spoken through another object (e.g.: cards, runes, shells, etc.) or life-form (e.g.: augury and auspice).
In the ancient world many sites gained a reputation for the dispensing of oracular wisdom, and they too became known as “oracles”.
Oracle derives from the Latin verb orare, to speak.

Meditation: What Happens When the Mind Wanders

Meditation for You, Me & The World

Does your mind ever wander while you’re trying to meditate? Yeah, mine too. That’s just what it does.

To dedicate a time to sit and meditate is the yummiest thing we can do for ourselves and for the world. Although most people think meditation is “sitting like Buddha”, cross-legged with hands in gyan mudra and ommming away in blissfulness, it is so much more than that. A great teacher once told me that if I sit to meditate and float right away into the infinite then that practice isnt so successful. A successful meditation is moving through the busyness of one’s mind and clearing away the density of pointless thoughts, the ego. Learning to work with the ego and through its analytical nature so that then we may reach high into the vastness of consciousness is a successful meditation practice, clearing away the subconscious mind.

The mind is good at thinking about things, which is fantastic when you’re trying to schedule meetings, or plan a road trip. It’s doesn’t feel so great when you’re trying to meditate, right? 🙂 It’s amazing how easy it is to give full attention to the internet or tv, and how challenging it is to sit in thoughtlessness meditation for 15 minutes. Meditation masters and teachers have offered many tips and tricks to help us keep our focus when our mind starts to wander. Here are a few that have worked well for me along all these years.

Grab hold of the object of your meditation.

If you are doing mantra meditation, hold onto your mantra. If you are watching your breath, breathe more deeply. You may notice that when your mind starts to wander, your voice becomes softer or your breathing becomes more shallow. A good way to bring yourself back is to give your all to the object of your meditation.Give your attention. Chant with everything you got. Sing from your heart in a full voice, noticing the movements of your mouth and the sounds of the words. If you are focusing on your breath, feel the sensation as breath enters your body. Notice the way your chest and belly feel as it moves into your lungs. Really going for it will help you break the spell of daydreaming and return you to your meditation.

Posture Is  Key.

Just as our breathing and our mantras diminish when we’re distracted, our body positions may do the same. Sometimes it’s just a subtle shift, perhaps a slight lowering of our hand position, your mudra, or a slight collapsing of our chest or ribcage. Bring your attention to your body. Feel your connection to the floor thats holding your body, notice the placement of your hands, and the lift of your chest, the straight line of your spine and the angle of your chin. Occasionally sweep your attention over your body and refine anything that seems to be fading. If you find that you’re beginning to doze away perhaps you can gaze at a point in front of you. Nothing specific just at eye level to assist your posture and focus. This is also known as Eye Gazing Meditation. its an excellent practice for posture.

Intention Delivers Commitment

Buddhists will often dedicate any merit accrued in their practice to the benefit of all beings. In other schools of meditation, it’s common to set an intention for your meditation practice. That intention could be something personal, a wish for another person, or a hope for the world. In my personal sadhana each morning, as I step onto my yoga mat to begin my practice I usually dedicate it to the children and animals of the world. Having an intention can be a powerful motivator to keep bringing you back to your commitment and away from mundane distractions. It can also be helpful to have a visual reminder of your intention in your meditation space, such as a photo or other meaningful object. Spending a moment looking at the object at the beginning and end of your practice can be quite powerful. However, during your practice, you want to keep your mind’s eye focused within and into the infinite.

Curiosity As A Tool.

Getting frustrated when you catch your mind wandering is normal. Our ego wants to “do it right” and the mind cannot stop thinking, analyzing, reasoning….etc. Beating yourself up is not the way to go about it; when suddenly you realize you’ve been making a grocery list instead of concentrating on your mantra or your breath simply bring your attention back to intention, to your breath. Acknowledge the mind, and without engaging it take the attitude of interest and curiosity at the way it works. Are there certain kinds of thoughts that are more likely to carry you away from your meditation? How does your body feel when you are carried away by thoughts vs being fully present? Stay focused on your breath or mantra during your meditation, and in awareness of these happenings. After you have finished you may have insights about the interactions with your selves during your practice of meditation that will help you refine your technique more and more.We learn something new each time.

The Power of Positive Thinking.

Thinking during your meditation practice is not a bad thing. The quality of thoughts is what matters, some thoughts are helpful and feed your practice while others may hinder it. Instead of battling yourself to “not think” or “stop thinking” remind yourself of what to think. This is where mantra comes in handy. Holding your focus on a mantra will keep your busy mind busy. Give your mind a job and you will stay present in the space of your intention, in your moment, in your now. Focus on the ebb and flow of your breath, on the sweet sound vibration of your mantra, on the serenity of the sounds of nature if you are outdoors,. Meditation is about being aware of the space you are in, the present moment, the reality of your existence in the now, the whole you. This i where your power is, from here you can achieve everything and anything you wish for your life and for the world. When we see the world as a peaceful, abundant and happy place, then it will be so. The power of our intention is strong enough to make it so.

I wish you a happy and blissful  meditation practice!!

Transformation

My Dear Reader,
The Bliss of transformation is such an amazing reward, to be conscious of what’s shedding away and get a glimpse of where you’re headed is part of the sweetness of this journey we call life, which, while we are bound to the mystic ways of time, life itself is not.

It has been many years that the thought of actually publishing my own book has been simmering in the back of my mind. Having started to write I often found myself leaving unfinished thoughts due to the changes and chain of events as life moves forward, it seems as if stuff kept getting in the way and by the time I was writing about a specific phase of my life, change would sweep away, flip it upside-down and leave me feeling like it was of no more use to record it… But change is constant. And all of life is a permanent record building up the layers of who we become as we live each day.
The world is going thru extraordinary change right now, this wave of change is here, now, and it is very tangible. The world keeps talking about the Aquarian Age and December 2012 and people are waiting for that moment where perhaps the sky will change color and the clouds will part and something fantastical will take place ..lol. I think Hollywood has fed the humans of the world way too many movies. The truth is we do not know what is going to happen, we’re expecting to witness an external shift, but I believe there will be more going on internally that will reflect externally.
We have already seen some of this taking place; while some people are sharing joy and love, supporting one another, others are spreading anger and despair, hurting each other…The transformation is happening now, and its a very exciting time in the history of existence…we’re making history here! and there’s no way of getting out of it, and why would we want to?? The best thing to do right now is to strengthen our relationship with our selves, have a heart to heart conversation with our selves and see where we’re at, get rid of fears and flow into a space of trust that all is in divine order … because it is. Send prayers and thoughts of Love and Peace to the world, heal the world through the sacredness of the heart. We’ve already made it, we are already successful, we’re already there! now its just about realizing it.
Dedicate as much time to spend with self as possible, to breathe, and go into the beat of the heart. Its time to let ourselves steep deeper into the heart, to reach that special sacred space where Divine Harmony and Unconditional Love dwell, and move on from there.

I hope this wave continues to deliver you into your sacred heart and allows you to see your infinite soul…showered in blessings of Pure Light and the Warmth of Divine Love

In the Highest Degree of Love,
Sat Nam

your friend,
Rev Adriana Hari Gobind Kaur

Rejuvenation Meditation

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan
Rejuvenation Meditation

Posture: Sit in an Easy Pose, with a light jalandhar bandh.

Eyes: Focus the eyes past the tip of the nose toward the distant ground and beyond into the depths of the Earth.

Mudra: Relax the arms down along the sides. Bring the hands in front of the chest with the palms toward the torso. Keep the elbows snug against the side of the ribs. Join the hands along the sides of the palms and the sides of the little fingers. Spread the fingers and thumbs apart. Bend the wrists so the palms face up toward the sky.

Breath & Mantra: The breath must be precise. Inhale deeply and slowly through semi-puckered lips. Hold the breath in for 4 seconds (or the length of one mental cycle of the mantra). SAA TAA NAA MAA. Then exhale powerfully in 4 equal strokes through the nose. As you exhale mentally recite the mantra: SAA TAA NAA MAA Then hold the breath out for 2 seconds or the length of one mental WHA-HAY GUROO.

Time: Continue for 11 minutes. With practice, increase to 31 minutes.

Comments:
This is a potent meditation for the glandular system. It is a “medical meditation.” Its effects are strong enough to help the system fight disease. It does not replace allopathic forms of medicine, but it does open the healing and preventative capacity of your body. The meditation focuses its effects on the glandular system, the guardians of your health. Be careful to start slowly with this pranayam. It can make you very spacey and dreamy. It is best to practice this before going to bed. If you master it, you will know why the yogis and sages always call breath the energy of life.
