Faerie Lily

Lily is my inner child.
She dances within animated faery pictures
laced with rainbows.
She beacons a light hearted soul
sometimes found in me.
Lily…
that’s what I’ve named her.
I think of her as someone separate
from me
my solace
my pretend
celtic design tattoos of creativity.
We often sit together
sipping tea
seeking magic
faries and mermaids color pages.
We keep leaves in our pockets
and baby roses at our table.

And yet…
my damsel is sometimes in distress
drawings of scorpions
those grim reaper drawings
haunt us both.

Sometimes
I think of her alone
worried
regretting… always
cold
lonely
fearful
growing older
not pretty anymore
abandoned by creativity
ignored
insignificant
inadequate
seeking out, but not finding validation
never measuring up
still struggling despite her efforts to achieve
sitting on the side of the road
with a cup.
Ahh yes my Lily of drama!

Lily is all the things I fear and more.

So that I might have compassion for the Lily ‘in me’,

I think of Lily…
her fears
and try to cheer her up!
What are friends for?

She does not need to feel so alone
I am here to help her.

I try to remind her,
that yes!
It IS possible to stand inside a rainbow
that leaves on trees
and baby roses
are tokens that she is worthy of my friendship.
And I sing songs to her
with lyrics that say
she is capable
and can overcome the things she frets about.

Oft times we care for others
more than our our own selves
and forget we exist at all.

I try to give Lily an out, a new road
instead of the same road,
that includes sadness
or whatever I feel causes me or Lily to falter.

Thus I refer to Lily a lot in things I write,
animated faery pictures I guess.
Sometimes Lily falls
and I do too
drawings of scorpions
outshine the possibility of angels.
But…
the more I decide to love me back
love Lily
the warmer we both are.

Name your inner child too, humm?
Offer that side of you a name
and then embrace it
step right ‘inside’ that rainbow.

What Mother Earth Means To Me

Mother Earth is grandiose in every way. She is a true Goddess. As ruler of the Muladhara Chakra the mechanism of her organism works in perfect harmony, according to her needs, just as our bodies work in harmony to meet our needs. Her surface is a beautiful interpretation of Her Soul, and Her core, we see its reflection in Her strength.
Its not just about the big things, like landscapes, oceans, mountains and deserts, but its also about the little things, the flowers that grow wild, big and small, the seeds that germinate in the ground and transform into trees, those subtle rays of sunshine that everyday fill me up of energy and give me clarity. It is during these “Godly moments” that I am revealed how things are, how life is. I call this reading the Earth. Standing by a window and gazing out at the trees and the sky and whatever perfect picture Nature has painted in front of me this moment, and then the breeze that makes its way in and caresses my face; I take in the beauty, in awe. Life is beautiful, and Nature is the Artist.
Earth is a holy body of Mother Nature, Her surface is the skin, beautiful, green, fresh. Earth Mother carries us in Her arms, provides us a home, our real home while we journey through this life. It is a fact that the core of Earth emanates a vibration that sounds like a heartbeat, and our heartbeats are in synchronization with it of Earth Mother. The awareness of this synchronization is a way to read the earth. She speaks in the wind and in the trees, She speaks to us all, her creatures, humans, animals and plants.

Mother Earth is our home, we can never be homeless and we can never get lost.
She is our teacher. When we observe how she works through her cycles we learn to move through our own. She has ways of giving the signs of change, and the more we connect with the Earth the sooner we learn to notice these signs.
She is our healer and provider, for everything we need to live a healthy life is given to us in the Earth.
She is our role model, and when we learn to follow in Her steps we will learn to get along, coexist and be united.
She is our friend, always there for us, even those times when we think we’re all alone and no one can hear us, She can.

Mother Earth gives us everything we need for everything we need.

How To Establish A Close Relationship With Mother Earth

– meditate with nature. When we take a moment to contemplate on the beauty of nature we are meditating with nature. Find a place where nature surrounds you. If this is not possible, even sitting near a plant, flowers or a tree helps. For a moment allow yourself to relax, take a few deep breaths and let your mind and spirit do the rest.

– ask and you shall receive. Mother Earth is always listening, remember to ask before taking a flower, a leaf, a branch or a tree. She appreciates it and will reward you for your kindness and courtesy. Consider this a Universal Divine Law.

– listen. A healthy conversation is like a two way street, sometimes we speak to Mother Earth and sometimes we listen. Open the ears of the soul and you will hear Her.

– don’t hate weather changes. There is a reason for each season and Mother Earth knows best. Change brings progress, engage in happy

– give thanks. Showing our appreciation for all the beautiful things Mother Earth provides for us is an excellent way to interact with Her, and getting to know Her well.

– join the community. Working with the community as one towards Peace creates a special kind of vibratory frequency which reaches the farthest depths of the Earth, where She can feel what we feel in our hearts.

It is a known fact that positive energy has a strong effect on living beings and the happier we are the more beautiful the Earth gets.

In Joy & Divine Love, Blessed be.

Dr. God & The Goods of the Earth

It’s been said that God first separated the salt water from the fresh, then made dry land, planted a garden of herbs, vegetables, fruits and flowers, made fish and animals… all before making a human. God made and provided what we would need before we were born and through Mother Earth continues to make sure we receive the goods we need for a healthy life. These gifts are best and more powerful when eaten raw… but we’re such slow learners.
God left us great clues to know what foods help what part of our body, let’s find these clues and live the Good Life.

Welcome to God’s Pharmacy!

CARROTS

A sliced Carrot resembles the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye… and YES, science now shows carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

TOMATOES

A Tomato has four chambers and is of the color red, much like the heart which also has four chambers and is red. Research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

GRAPES

Grapes hang in a cluster taking the shape of the heart, and each individual grape looks like a blood cell. Research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

WALNUTS

A Walnut looks like a brain, the left and right hemispheres, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds on the nut are just like the neo-cortex. We now know walnuts help develop more than three (3) dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

KIDNEY BEANS

Kidney Beans look exactly like the human kidneys and, yes, they literally heal and help maintain kidney function.

CELERY, BOK CHOY, RHUBARD, ETC.

The many more that look just like bones are in fact beneficial to the bone structure. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don’t have enough sodium in your diet, the body pulls it from the bones, thus making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

AVOCADO

Avocado, Eggplant and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female body, they look just like these organs. Today’s research shows that when a woman eats one avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight, and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? It takes exactly nine (9) months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

FIGS

Figs are full of seeds and hang in 2s when they grow. Figs increase the mobility of male sperm and increase the numbers of Sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

SWEET POTATOS

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

OLIVES

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.

CITRUS FRUITS: ORANGES, GRAPEFRUITS, ETC.

Oranges, Grapefruits, and other Citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

ONIONS

Onions look like the cells in the body. Research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes. A working companion, Garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.

*Note: This article came to me in the form of a circulating email. I edited and added tips I learned in the course of my years in holistic therapeutic practice and study.

Himalayan Crystal Salt

For years, now, we’ve heard people talking about the dangers of salt. We’ve learned how it can lead to or aggravate many poor health conditions. Some say that we need to eliminate salt from our diet. It’s true, and there’s more to the story.

Common Table Salt is the Culprit People Say It Is

First, every living animal needs salt to survive. The proper salt can provide beneficial nutrients and minerals. It can help regulate our pH levels and can guard against dehydration in some instances. I know, you’ve never heard that about salt. And with good reason-it’s not true of common salt.

Common salt is a heavily processed substance that is used in industrial applications all over the world. Only 3% of the common salt produced is meant for human consumption. Common table salt lays a heavy burden on your body with the toxins it presents. Any benefit that salt had was bleached and chemically stripped from it leaving the common table salt that we most often use today.

Better Salt for Your Body

Beneficial, good salt is not processed, but naturally collected from deposits in the earth. The best salt is Himalayan Crystal Salt and it’s the purest salt in the world, hand-collected from salt deposits that have been in the earth for more than 200 million years. This salt is nutritious throughout its substance. So if you chip off the top or dig deep to collect it, the compliment of nutrients is the same in each piece. What this means is that you can use large chunks or tiny, table-salt sized granules and still receive the full benefit.

Himalayan Crystal Salt has in it the same 84 minerals that can be found in sea water. It’s the same 84 minerals that are found in the water of our bodies. Even though our body water is very similar to sea water, sea salt is not the best thing for us either. Sea salt has a similar disadvantage to common table salt. Although it’s not as toxic as common table salt, because it’s processed, some of its nutritive value is depleted. There’s really nothing as healthful as Himalayan Crystal Salt.

Benefits of Himalayan Crystal Salt

Internally and externally, there is no better salt than pure Himalayan Crystal Salt. And, as a food additive, you can feel safe in knowing that you’re not flavoring your dishes with toxins. You can drink sole daily, to encourage good health for your whole body. Himalayan crystal salt can do some powerful things including:

Replenish electrolytes, the body’s power source
Heartbeat regulation
Soothe aching, sore muscles
Skin revitalization
Guard against dehydration

Because Himalayan Crystal Salt is the embodiment of living energy, you can mix it with purified water, to release that power. One of the great ways to release the benefits of this living energy is to prepare sole.

To drink daily, add 1 teaspoon of 26% sole solution to a glass of purified water. Mixing sole with purified water to get a 1% sole solution, you can use it for the following:

Gargle during throat or sinus infections
Rinse your eyes
Clean wounds
Flush sinuses

Taurus Full Moon

Full Moon – November 13, 2008 1:17am.

The Full Moon this November is in the zodiac house of Taurus, and is known as the Mourning Moon, among the many other names.

The Taurus Full Moon is excellent for material plane works, though the final aspect of Moon opposite Mars makes doing direct work difficult. So be clever: rather than plan the ritual directly, use opposites. Don’t state your purpose as, “I want more money,” say, “I want poverty in my life to disappear.” Better yet, if you can identify barriers that have impeded your progress, work to banish that. For this reason, this Moon also bodes well for some types of healing, especially if you want to get rid of something specific – like acne or excess weight.
Candle magic can be effective for this type of spell. Find a small candle to represent the obstacle in your life. A birthday candle will work well. Be sure to put it in a fireproof holder or container. Compose a short chant, like “Acne vanish,” “Obesity away,” or “Poverty be gone.”
Cast a circle, light the candle, and chant your chant. Visualize the obstacle going away for as long as it takes the candle to completely burn out. When the flame finally flickers and dies, immediately shout, “So mote it be!” and end the circle.

Leaves

How silently they tumble down
And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow.

The Holiday Season Is Here

This is always true: What I think and how I feel, and what manifests, is always a vibrational match. But here’s the big kicker: What manifests isn’t manifesting instantaneously. So, you’ve got all this buffer of time leeway that makes you sloppy… If you thought a negative thought and a brick would instantly fall on your head every time, you’d clean up your thinking. But you’re not here to be punished about your thinking. You’re here to use your thinking—and your focus—to create.
–Abraham-Hicks

Let’s welcome the month of November and celebrate the season!

Earth Mother introduces the month of November with early winter chills, decorating the landline with red and orange drying leaves, and although there are still 2 full months left in this Gregorian year of 2008, the end of the cycle is present and the spirit of the holiday season has arrived. Let us embrace the season.
The month starts off with a bang as Neptune turns direct on the 1st. It’s time to wake up from our dreamy states and re-orient ourselves with our goals and ideals.
November is a time of gratitude and of reflection. We give thanks for the accomplishments during the year and also for the opportunities of growth, and we begin to prepare the list of things we wish to let go of as the year wanes. Tap into the most inner “you” and examine what thoughts and emotions you are ready to release, and get ready for the new plans you will be making in the year ahead. Reach inside and rediscover your natural self, after all, we are creatures of nature and innately flow with the wonderful ebb of life on this earthly planet. From now until Yule we collect our harvest from the year and while some of us get ready to hibernate, others of us prepare to pass the long and cold winter days by a warm burning fire drinking hot cocoa, tea or coffee, .. or cognac, .. or all! ^_^
The month also ends with a bang as Pluto re-enters ambitious Capricorn on November 26, changing everyone’s focus for the next 16 years. The maverick planet Uranus finally turns direct on November 27, ending a retrograde period that began last June 26. Change is in the air. Don’t allow yourself to feel restless if your life circumstances are not a good fit for the person you are today. Focus, and stay positive and open for change.

Between Samhain and Yule, legend says, many have heard the fearful sounds of what is commonly known as the Wild Hunt. With many names, many faces, and sometimes no face at all, this experience can be anything from the sounds of hunting dogs, marching knights or the headless horseman himself. Stories of the Wild Hunt are known in countries like Scandinavia, Germany and even the USA (Washington Irving’s “The Headless Horseman”) And while the root reason of the hunt may vary, the dark and unknown force that carries the hunt brings a terrifying chill to its witnesses.
In Germany, the Wild Hunter is the god known as Odin. With horses and dogs he runs through the cold nights collecting souls of those who have died, specially those who were evil doers in life. Other stories indicate that Odin hunts for a woman. But Odin was not the only hunter known, depending on the region there was King Arthur, Sir Francis Drake, Gwydion, and more.
The Wild Hunt held such strong belief that many people, such as field workers, would refuse to go out at night, claiming they saw burning coals floating in mid air, and were terrified at the sound of barking dogs and the hunter’s horn being blown in the cold and dark night. The stories also indicate that it was a bad omen to see the Wild Hunt, for those unfortunate to witness it are said to suffer painful illnesses and death or life-threatening ill fortune in the year to come.

The Wild Hunt is also known as the Dark Lord of Winter. It is bringer of the end of a cycle, the cycle of birth-death-rebirth. The Celtic tales of the hunt tell of the Sidhe thundering by on their horses and snatching up those who travel the roads at night. These victims were often found dead, or reappear years later not aged at all.
So remember, if you happen to be outside one cold and grey November night, sipping a hot cup of cocoa or indulging a tasty glass of brandy, and you hear the baying of hounding dogs and the sound of the hunter’s horn, raise your cup to the Wild Hunt, and then go indoors where you are safe.

I hope you enjoy the journey this month inspires you to take. And don’t forget, there are always reasons to engage in joyful celebration. The more celebratory energy you “produce” the more you send off into the air, spreading it throughout the world. This is how we heal the planet, and reduce the negative energies that dwell over it’s green and watery surface. Don’t forget that whatever you celebrate make sure you do exactly that … celebrate! Bring happiness into your life, let the joyful energy surround you, blessing your home, your path, and every choice you make.

Give Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! It’s the time of year when family and friends come together to give thanks, share stories, and of course, to eat!

Thanksgiving Day, in the United States, is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in the month of November, marking the end of the harvest season. This day is dedicated specifically to express thanks for one’s material and spiritual prosperity. It is also a time of reflection when one journeys to the deepest levels of the soul and purges what negative energy has been carrying on. Examine past actions and interactions, are there any self-sabotaging malicious thoughts lingering about? This holiday inspires us to venture back to our roots, to the times of our ancients to collect knowledge that will help us break the vicious cycle of broken relationships and separatism.
Practice Tolerance, Forgiveness and Gratitude this Thanksgiving, and carry this out through the holiday season and the new year. Have a Joyful celebration!

People all over the country celebrate this Day of Giving Thanks in many ways. Celebrate the season!

Halloween decorating: Utahns spare no expense on scares

“Utahns seem to like decorating for Halloween almost as much as at Christmas.

Just ask Jim Lauscher of The Village Christmas Shoppe at Gardner Village, who said business in Halloween decorations is already brisk.

‘Halloween in the state of Utah is the second biggest holiday for decorating,’ he said. ‘I am from the Midwest, and on Halloween people dress up the kids for one night. Here they are starting to decorate the inside and outside of houses on Oct. 1.

‘The other thing about Halloween is that price doesn’t matter,’ he added. ‘I have trouble selling a $100 Christmas item, but selling a $200 witch is no problem.’ “ (via Salt Lake Tribune)
