Do you stop and smell the roses?
Do you celebrate every stop?
We travel through many rivers and roads in this life to get to where we’re headed not really knowing where it is we are actually going, but we are eager to get there.
This makes me think of the Vedas, how it teaches us that we live each day to die. We live each day consciously knowing we are one day closer to our final one, we prepare each day to live as our last; are we ready?
At first I thought: whoa this is morbid, but then it made sense! Each day we create a new opportunity to bring to life a moment of extraordinary feelings of joy and fulfillment. Each day is a chance to ‘right the wrongs of the past” if there is such a thing. There are many ways of looking at this concept. How do we know what step to take next? How do we know which way to go? Do we apply the analytical mind or do we tune in to the inner guidance aka “gut feeling” …
It seems that, based on previous experiences, all roads lead to the same destination so, which path are we going to choose.. As the famous phrase invites, it’s the journey, not the destination, so, is it??
The destination is quite important as well. Yes the journey is gold, but the destination of any journey is like a graduation! A goal which has been reached, growth and expansion has happened, on to the next! Enjoy the journey and celebrate the success of the destination.
There are many rivers and roads that lead to bliss and we are here to experience as many and as much. We aren’t here to fulfill one goal and done.
Learning this concept from a powerful entrepreneur was mindbending to me ..a great AHA moment. I guess I have been cheating myself of having lots of awesome achievement celebrations in life because I was focusing on the “Bigger Picture” of what I consider my journey to be..
This suddenly opens up a whole new realm of opportunities in which we can explore and enjoy many different experiences and learn how to truly savor the many flavors of life.
So what do you think dear reader?
