Who I Am

This is what I read when I forget who I am, please enjoy if it resonates with you too.

You are a beauty within angels who is in this universe for the sake of love and compassion. You are here for the sake of wisdom and healing. You are here to do divine work and even though you easily become distracted, you come back. Keep coming back, for you are one of God’s (or source or highest light or whatever the name, no matter) loyal workers, and he needs you in his busy factory. The factory of heavenly light and heavenly love is where you feel you belong, and here you do belong.

The love within your heart is from this incredible light, if you ever put yourself down by assuming people or circumstances are putting you down, you are putting down the amazing gift that God has given you. A gift is to be treasured. Treasure it with love and dignity. Other people’s words and actions are their words and actions, from their own insecurities, from their own fears, or from just the only best they can give at that moment, even if they don’t understand the consequences their actions have upon others and themselves. Other people’s words are never your identity, NEVER. Value you as you deep down really know who you are. You are more than life itself. You are made of a thousand stars and a million kisses.

You are made of lots of little bones, and lots of funny laughs. You are made of millions of poems and a gentle soul. You are made of luminous things, all wrapped up in one. All wrapped in one- together with your body, mind, soul; you are perfectly here to experience what you need to experience, everything is divine, even the most horrid things people do, even the worst things you see, even the biggest of disasters.

Everything has a divine intent and it is meant for your learning and growth. Grow as you grow, enjoy the rain from the misty clouds and the sunshine from our heavenly sun, and let it bring brightness in your heart, as it is lovely in its absolute just as you are lovely in its absolute; and lovely as your heart receives light from within and around you with grace. So spend the day with ease, you have great protection, deep within your skin, and deep within your soul God is always near.

Enjoy, from my heart to yours! Naomi

September brings not only times of change and relfection but also many reasons to engage in joyful celebration.
For those of us who look into the vibration numerology we welcome September 9, 2009 as an opening, an open door to the world of energy and unlimited possibilites. (day 9, month 9, year 2009)

2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11 1+1 = 2

9 + 9 + 9 = 27 2 + 7 = 9

2: Balance, harmony, unions, partnership

9: Ending

999: Completion. This is the end if a big phase in your personal and global life. Also, it is a message to lightworkers invloved in Earth healing: “Get to work because Mother Earth needs you right now.” — Doreen Virtue, Healing With The Angels

Then on the 18th, as the New Moon fulfills the celestial plan to bless all that is new, it heralds the Autumnal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, which arrives on the 22nd, and in turn the Spring Equinox in the Southern H. How lucky are we to be here on this beautiful planet during these times of growth and transformation.

September 21st has become the International United Nations Day of Peace, and people all around the world gather to celebrate in their own ways to promote continued Peace on Earth.

Vegan Shoes Take Over The World?
by Lindsay, a Peta.org author

vegan shoes

Some of you might remember that last summer, I blogged about the top 10 places to find vegan women’s shoes. Well, proving once again that when it comes to fashion—as with most things—vegans are ahead of the curve, the Wall Street Journal recently ran an article all about fashionable vegan footwear!

The authors of the article gave the thumbs up to cruelty-free pumps, boots, and flats by Olsenhaus, Neuaura, Stella McCartney, and Toms, schooling the Wall Street Journal’s more than 2 million readers in the virtues of vegan fashion. (Yes, I said 2 million—it is the second largest paper in the country, after all

No doubt, we’ll be hearing more buzz about vegan footwear (and cruelty-free fashion in general) as savvy shoppers seek out “green” additions to their wardrobe. Vegan products are pretty much synonymous with eco-chic—environmentally friendly style that is taking fashion magazines and runways by storm.

Unlike leather products, vegan shoes, belts, and bags don’t require harmful chemicals to keep them from, um, decomposing. Leather is also an environmental no-no because tanneries pollute groundwater and streams and because raising animals for their flesh and skin wastes massive amounts of resources—not to mention that it sentences animals to cruel deaths!

Are you still scuffing around in the skins of dead animals? Maybe it’s time to get in step with fashion—and compassion—and treat your feet to a pair of pleather shoes!!)

Vegetarian and vegan diets are appropriate, says ADA!

Thanks, ADA! I’ve Known It All Along!
by Heather, a Peta.org author

vegetarian book

I already knew that a vegan diet is healthful and nutritionally adequate and can help prevent and treat certain diseases, but it’s a big coup when the American Dietetic Association (ADA) says so too!

Now, the ADA has long said that vegetarian and vegan diets are appropriate for every stage of the life-cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, and adolescence—and for athletes—but just recently, the ADA updated its position paper in support of vegetarianism. Among other things, the paper explains that healthy, plant-based diets can prevent—and even reverse—many life-threatening diseases, including cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.

The ADA also points out that well-planned (not just Oreos, pop tarts, and French fries, obviously) vegetarian diets can meet the recommendations for protein, n-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc, iodine, calcium, and vitamins D and B12, as well as other essential nutrients. (If you want some basic healthy-eating tips, check out my blog, A Vegan’s Guide to Good Nutrition.)

Best yet, the ADA predicts that the number of vegetarians in the U.S. will increase over the next decade. Yay! If you’re one of the people who haven’t gone vegetarian yet, what are you waiting for? Seriously—you don’t have any excuses! Our “Vegetarian Starter Kit” will help get you started in the right direction.
